It's Official

I just registered for my first half marathon. It will be in Dallas on December 5 (Dallas White Rock Marathon).

I've been thinking about it for weeks, and finally decided to go for it. My long runs have been going well, so I feel confident that I can be ready. My long runs are up to 8 miles, so I should have no problem adding another 5.1 by December, right?

I can feel the anxiety slowly settling in already...

  1. Brian--If your long runs are at 8 miles, I think you will cruise to your goal of a half in early December.

    Question--are you following a training plan?

    If not, google Hal Higdon Training Plans.

    I've used Hal's Half and Full programs as a guide in the past. His plans are at all levels. Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced.

    Post back or drop by my site. I'm anxious to follow your progess.

    If you can get to where you can comfortably cruise through 10-11 miles, you will easily handle the next two.
